Removing the door panel on a Jeep Wrangler JK Moab
2013
needed tools:
- screw driver PH2
- screw driver T25
- 8mm allen key
- small dulled lever
approach:
- Loosen the two visible screws (germ.: sichtbare Schrauben).
- Pull out the cover of the door handle. The Allen screws do not need to be removed, they are just decoration.
However you can incline the cover with the Allen key to slide more easily with the lever under the cover.
Remove the two hidden Phillips screws (germ.: verdeckte Schrauben).
- Pull the cover behind the door latch.
- Remove the Torx screw and the frame.
- Grab behind the panel and push the push button unit out. Start pushing on top. Pull of the unit from the cable.
- Now you can start pulling of the door panel. It is fixed with 10
dowels. Start at the bottom of the panel and grab deep before pulling.
- Done. Information about the wiring can be found here.
